IEEE (Inst. of Electrical & Electronics Engineers) is the first professional activity I did in my life and it is where I met the people who taught me a lot of what shaped me into what I am today!
I first joined IEEE as a volunteer in EED (Egyptian Engineering Day) in 2006 which is a major program of IEEE Egypt GOLD (Graduates of Last Decade) affinity group (now renamed to YP, short for Young Professionals). I had a minor role on this day (transporting the visitors from the main gate to the hall).
I then joined the program committee for the EED in 2007 and ever since I’ve been part of various roles in different programs and events
I’ve been EEDing for pretty long time 😀
IEEE Day is always fun 🙂
