FLL (FIRST LEGO League) is actually the best experience I ever had in my life and not only it has impacted the lives of thousands of children and young youth, but it actually did touch me deeply and changed a lot of things inside me.
I was first involved in the FLL in 2009 where I volunteered in the FLL Egypt team that was in charge of organizing the competition in Egypt, and then in 2010, I volunteered as a judges advisor, taking the responsibility of training the judges and managing the judgement deliberation process. For 2 years, 2011-2012, I have been part of the program as the operational partner for FLL in Egypt where I was managing the program and co-working with the FLL Egypt team to serve the community in Egypt.
That’s, for instance, one remarkable day for me. I’ve organized this FLL day to spread the word about the program and let the children explore the world of robots and its applications in the various science and technology fields. We had so many visitors on that day and I still remember the kind of conversations I had with kids and the curiosity in their eyes and the power of imagination in their minds!
And that was one more amazing experience for me, working with young students on a full-day filled with robots and science 🙂
And actually FLL is about fun at the end of the day 🙂
